The European Union Council of Ministers (internal market) has voted to support the creation of a new airbag standard by the United Nations Economic Commission, writes Keith Nuthall.
The manufacturing type approval regulation has been designed to harmonise airbag rules across Europe, “whilst ensuring a high level of safety and environmental protection.”
