The Rugby, UK-based, Autins Group, a supplier of lightweight acoustic and thermal insulation components, said it was supplying Jaguar Land Rover with cabin parts including wheel arch covers, under seat pads, dash pads and footwell hush pads for the recently launched Jaguar F-Pace.
Marketing manager Laura Farnell said: "The Autins Group has a long and successful relationship with Jaguar Land Rover. As a company, they are keen to use the technology that we have available in our factories to raise the standards in car production. We are delighted to have played a part in bringing such a high quality vehicle to market."
Autins said its parts help ensure vehicles are as economical as possible by reducing weight as well as insulating a range of parts, from the cabin to the engine bay, to either reduce heat loss or to keep parts cool. The materials used also reduce noise and vibration to ensure a smoother, quieter ride.
The company also supplies parts, including acoustic absorbers, for the Range Rover Evoque.
Autins recently launched a new insulation fibre called Neptune which "daughter company" SolarNonWovens makes at its Birch Coppice site near Tamworth. It is the exclusive European supplier and manufacturer of this new material which is expected to further enhance vehicle performance.
The supplier dates back to 1966 when it made parts for the original BMC Mini. The British owned group includes Automotive Insulations in Rugby, Scandins in Sweden, Rheinland Insulations in Germany and Solar Nonwovens in Tamworth. It supplies the UK domestic and European car industry and other automaker customers include the VW group, Bentley and Porsche.
