The specially-built black Monaro coupe is a left-hand drive model with the uprated Pontiac GTO-specification LS1 V8 engine and six-speed manual transmission. However it has the (quieter) Australian-spec exhaust to meet German noise emission requirements.
Other features are a Holden Special Vehicles premium level brake package and alloy fuel filler cover, unique chamois leather interior trim and satellite navigation.
Hanenberger, regarded as the driving force behind Holden’s development of the coupe, drove his special vehicle at the company’s proving ground before it was shipped to arrive in Germany in mid-January. He retires on January 1.
