Rapid sales expansion, growth in staff numbers and the changing nature of its business has lead Ateco Automotive Pty Ltd, the Australian importer of Alfa Romeo, Citroën, Kia, Fiat and Warn products to move from its Sydney headquarters in Tempe to a new purpose built facility at Homebush Bay.

By coincidence, the Homebush area of Sydney was once home to a large Ford Australia assembly plant that made Mazda 323-based Lasers in the 1980s.


“With our total sales growing from less than 3,000 vehicles in 1999 to a projected level of close to 30,000 this year, the whole nature of our business has not just dramatically grown, the way we operate has also substantially changed,” said Ateco governing director Neville Crichton.


“We have, quite simply, out grown our Tempe site in every area.”
