General Motors’ Australian unit Holden is recalling over 25,000 GM Korea-built Captiva, Epica and Cruze vehicles with the two-litre turbodiesel engine.
The recall is due to a possible fault in the fuel feed hose which may leak diesel, Holden spokeswoman Kate Lonsdale said.

Lonsdale added Holden had received complaints about fuel smell or leaks but no reports of fires.
“This is a different recall to the March 2010 recall on the fuel feed hose – that was the 1.8-litre petrol engine,” Lonsdale said.
The models recalled are 16,181 Series 1 Captivas built between 11 February 2008 and 2 January 2011, 2,724 Epicas made between 1 February 2008 and 20 June 2011, and 6,512 Series 1 Cruze vehicles built between 4 November 2008 and 20 July 2010.
The recall is part of one GM Korea announced last month affecting around 100,000 vehicles of which almost 63,000 had been exported.
Holden last March began building a ‘localised’ Cruze – called the Series II – at its plant in Elizabeth, South Australia, replacing the imported Series I. It recently added hatchback production as well.
