Exide Technologies has been selected as the exclusive battery supplier to the Royal Automobile Association (RAA) of South Australia Inc., the state’s motoring organization. The RAA membership totals more than 610,000 members in South Australia.

The five-year agreement for automotive starting batteries, primarily manufactured in Elizabeth, South Australia, is expected to exceed $A12 million in gross sales during the agreement period. RAA will distribute the batteries through its roadside assistance service program and an extensive network of RAA-approved outlets located within the state.
In North America, Exide Technologies is the recognised battery supplier to the American Automobile Association (AAA) and the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), through the battery/electrical division, Club Assist.
