In a statement, Delphi said that the move was "a natural extension of
[our] OEM and vehicle systems expertise and demonstrates [our] commitment to
expanding [our] Australian presence."

The consumer brand would bring under the Delphi banner an extended range of
currently unbranded products for Australian vehicle and consumer electronics
market sectors, AutoAsia Online said.

Australia was the third regional market to launch the Delphi aftermarket consumer
brand after China and India, the website added.

The Australian range would initially include mobile entertainment units, oxygen
sensors, batteries, diesel products, catalytic converters, fuel pumps, power
steering pumps, air conditioning components and shock absorbers, AutoAsia Online
said.
