Volkswagen Argentina has announced that it will invest USD100m in the gear manufacturing plant located in Cordoba (Argentina) to increase production by 40%, to one million units annually.
Some 95% of the output will be exported.
According to the motor vehicles industry association (Adefa) Volkswagen led the market during the four first months of the year with 20.3% share followed by General Motors with 15.4%.
