Aptiv (nee Delphi) reported fourth quarter 2018 revenue of $3.6bn, an increase of 6% year on year. Adjusted for currency exchange, commodity movements and divestitures, revenue increased by 8% in the fourth quarter. This reflected growth of 18% in North America, 4% in Europe, 2% in Asia and flat performance in South America.
The Company reported fourth quarter 2018 US GAAP net income from continuing operations of $247m and operating earnings of $0.94 per share, compared to $207m and $0.77 per share a year ago. Fourth quarter adjusted net income totalled $352m, or $1.34 per share, an increase of 5% on a per share basis compared to $343m, or $1.28 per share, a year earlier.
Fourth quarter adjusted operating income was $430m, compared to $450m.
The supplier reported full year 2018 revenue of $14.4bn, an increase of 12%.
Full year GAAP net income from continuing operations of $1,067m and earnings from continuing operations of $4.02 per share compared to $1,021m and $3.81 per share in the prior year. Full year 2018 adjusted net income was $1,396m, or $5.26 per share, an increase of 13% on a per share basis compared to $1,243m, or $4.64 per diluted share, in the prior year.
The Company reported adjusted operating income of $1,751m for full year 2018, compared to $1,594m in the prior year. Adjusted Operating Income margin was 12.1% for full year 2018, compared to 12.4% in the prior year.
