That was followed by North America, which saw a 0.2 year-on-year percentage point change in robotics roles.

The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

The fastest growing country was the United States, which saw 69.4% of all robotics job adverts in the three months ending February 2021, increasing to 72.4% in the three months ending February this year.

That was followed by Australia (up 1 percentage points), India (0.2), and China (-0.2).

Which cities are the biggest hubs for robotics workers in the automotive industry?

Some 7.5% of all automotive industry robotics roles were advertised in Warren (United States) in the three months ending February.

That was followed by Louisville (United States) with 5.4%, Bradley (United States) with 4%, and Palo Alto (United States) with 3.6%.
