Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.81% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.13% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.16% in November 2022, registering a 53.16% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 21.74% share, a decrease of 57.4% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 10.41%, registering a 35% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 9.95%, down 55.38% over the previous month.
Top five auto companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 54.26% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s auto industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Dana posted 148 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 61.95% over the previous month, followed by Tesla with 99 jobs and an 8.79% growth. PACCAR with 65 IT jobs and Lucid Group with 49 jobs, recorded a 14.04% growth and an 84.14% decrease, respectively, while Porsche Automobil Holding recorded an increase of 63.64% with 36 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.01%, down by 53.06% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.69% share, registered a decline of 44.37% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.19% share, down 48.55% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.11%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
