US-based company Tesla’s IT hiring rose 5.6% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.93% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 6.7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.18% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Tesla IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Tesla, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 59.29% in October 2022, and a 22.09% drop over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 20.35% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 4.17%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 15.93% in October 2022, a 50% rise from September 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Tesla

North America emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in October 2022 with an 84.07% share, which marked an 18.1% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 7.96%, registering a 10% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 7.96% share and a 47.06% drop over September 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with an 83.19% share in October 2022, a 17.54% decline over September 2022. Germany featured next with a 6.19% share, down 46.15% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead Tesla IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.21%, down by 37.23% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 34.51% share, a growth of 8.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10.62% share, down 7.69% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.65%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
