Germany-based company Mercedes-Benz Group’s IT hiring declined 5.0% in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 15.6% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 17.1% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 2.1% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Mercedes-Benz Group IT hiring in November 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Mercedes-Benz Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 66.67% in November 2022, and a 37.21% drop over October 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 18.52% in November 2022, and registered a decline of 11.76%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 6.17% in November 2022, a 77.27% drop from October 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Mercedes-Benz Group

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in November 2022 with a 40.74% share, which marked a 10.81% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 32.1%, registering a 58.06% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 23.46% share and a 47.22% drop over October 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 3.7% and a month-on-month decline of 72.73%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in November 2022, an 8% growth over October 2022. Germany featured next with a 29.63% share, down 57.14% over the previous month. US recorded a 23.46% share, a decline of 38.71% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Mercedes-Benz Group IT hiring activity in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.9%, down by 42.71% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.69% share, a decline of 37.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.41% share, down 64.71% over October 2022.
