The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 15.91% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 15.23% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.51% growth over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Mercedes-Benz Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 57.81% in October 2022, and a 32.73% drop over September 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 15.63% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 4.76%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.63% in October 2022, a 4.76% drop from September 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Mercedes-Benz Group

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 44.53% share, which marked a 41.24% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 26.56%, registering a 30.77% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 20.31% share and a 39.53% drop over September 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 8.59% and a month-on-month increase of 450%.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 39.84% share in October 2022, a 37.8% decline over September 2022. India featured next with a 17.97% share, up 27.78% over the previous month. US recorded a 16.41% share, a decline of 51.16% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Mercedes-Benz Group IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.19%, down by 25.86% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.09% share, a decline of 30.77% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.94% share, up 7.69% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.78%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
