The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 12.56% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Out of the auto industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 22.11% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 1.47% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 55.87% in October 2022, registering a 34.44% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.22% share, a decrease of 30.12% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 8.48%, registering a 31.58% decline from September 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.57%, down 43.24% over the previous month.

Top five auto companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 13.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s auto industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

Valeo posted 78 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 100% over the previous month, followed by Faurecia with 49 jobs and a 5.77% drop. Mahindra & Mahindra with 45 IT jobs and Mitsubishi Motors with 41 jobs, recorded an 11.76% decline and a 55.91% decrease, respectively, while ZF Friedrichshafen recorded a decline of 29.31% with 41 job postings during October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.7%, down by 36.62% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 34.57% share, registered a decline of 31.47% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.65% share, flat growth over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.09%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
