November 2022 has seen a decrease of 11.94% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 10.14% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.29% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 52.2% in November 2022, a 57.35% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 23% in November 2022, marking a 47.96% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.8% in November 2022, a 52.88% drop from October 2022.

Top five auto companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 51.3% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s auto industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Faurecia posted 55 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Porsche Automobil Holding with 55 jobs and a 66.05% drop. Continental with 52 IT jobs and ZF Friedrichshafen with 36 jobs, recorded a 48% drop and a 55.56% drop, respectively, while Mercedes-Benz Group recorded a 58.06% decline with 26 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s auto industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 40.4% share in November 2022, a 49.5% decrease over October 2022. France featured next with an 11.8% share, down 49.14% over the previous month. Romania recorded a 10.4% share, a drop of 62.32% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.4%, down by 55.83% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15% share, registered a decline of 51.61% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.6% share, down 54.66% over October 2022.
