Delphi Technologies has named Richard (Rick) Dauch, 57, as chief executive officer, effective today (7 January, 2019).

He also join the company’s board of directors. He succeeds Hari Nair who has been interim CEO since 5 October last year.

“We are pleased to announce Dauch’s appointment as CEO. He is a strong executive with more than 25 years of industry experience including 10 years serving in CEO roles with private and publicly traded companies,” said Timothy Manganello, the non-executive chairman of the board.

“Dauch’s deep industry expertise, leadership qualities and track record of driving operational excellence and profitable growth make him an outstanding choice to lead Delphi Technologies during a time of dynamic industry change. The board would also like to thank our fellow board member Nair for his leadership as interim CEO while we conducted the search for a permanent CEO.”

Dauch has proven experience in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries with extensive operational, commercial and P&L experience. Since February 2011, he was president and chief executive officer of Accuride Corporation.

Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of Acument Global Technologies, a global fastening supplier.
