Honda Motor named Asako Suzuki as its first female operating officer as part of a management reshuffle that will also see it promote its top executive in China to a company executive vice president.
Seiji Kuraishi, currently executive officer at Honda China, will take on his new role in June, replacing executive vice president Tetsuo Iwamura, who is retiring, Reuters reported.
Honda managing officer Sho Minekawa will also retire in June, after being widely considered to take on the executive vice president role at the automaker, the report added.
