Bosch said consolidated sales in Romania rose 3% year-on-year in 2020, reaching ROL2.2bn (US$547m/EUR447m).
Net sales, including the sales of unconsolidated companies and internal deliveries to affiliate companies of Bosch Romania, totalled ROL6.8bn last year, a level similar to 2019, Bosch said in a press release cited by SeeNews.com.

“In 2020, the Bosch Group in Romania achieved remarkable financial results, despite the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and a decrease in automotive production. Despite the challenging market environment, our forecast for the current fiscal year in Romania remains positive,” Bosch Romania general manager Mihai Boldijar said in the statement.
Bosch invested ROL487m during 2020 in development of production units for mobility products in Cluj and Blaj.
In July, Bosch inaugurated a new headquarters building for its engineering centre in Cluj-Napoca – a project costing EUR30m ($37m). Bosch plans to expand the centre with a second building to be completed in 2023. Currently, 1,000 peole work there.
The Bosch Group has been in Romania market for 27 years. Currently, it operates five entities – the R&D centre in Cluj, the two factories in Cluj and Blaj, a technological industrial production unit in Blaj and an outsourcing service centre, Business Processes, in Timisoara. In Bucharest, Bosch operates a sales office for mobility products, consumer goods and construction and energy technology divisions.
