Save Group, the UK`s biggest independent petrol retailer announced yesterday that it is the subject of bid speculation, according to the UK`s `Independent` newspaper (13/7/00).
The company, formerly known as `Frost`, said that it was in discussions with an interested party although nothing has been finalised.

Save owns 409 petrol stations or about 7 per cent of the national total within the UK. This compares with over 800 petrol sites owned by Total, Shell, BP and Esso.
