In line with the new European Union block exemption regulations, the company will supply its product range and service support through a network of distributors, supplemented by authorised repairers.
Initially, 30 distributors will be operational, supported by 51 AA service centres. All sites will carry out warranty work.

An additional 15 potential distributors are already under review by the company for planned appointment during November/December, with more in the pipeline and GM Daewoo has a target total of 100 outlets by year end.

Daewoo’s previous importer launched an innovative customer care package which included free servicing and warranty cover for three years and GM Daewoo says it “will honour these elements with existing customers” but has not yet promised a similar deal for its own customers.

GM Daewoo UK has however set up a new customer assistance centre.

Further details of the new company will be announced at the British motor show in Birmingham next week.
