General Motors has told dealers to halt sales of 6,281 units of its 2015 Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse SUVS equipped with Goodyear tyres pending a recall in February. Of these, 5,830 are in the US.
Goodyear plans to recall 48,500 18-inch tyres in February due to small cracks in the tread. These include Fortera HL, size P255/65R18 109S, manufactured from 30 November 2014 to 10 January 2015, Detroit Free Press reported.

GM spokesman Alan Adler said: “The 18-inch tyres are used in about 30% of the production at Lansing Delta Township and [the action] has not impacted production.”
Of the 48,500 tyres to be recalled, 32,100 were made for GM’s SUVs.
GM has not received any reports of problems or accidents due to the issue.
