Ssangyong Motor has appointed vice president Choi, Johng-sik as its new CEO.
Earlier, the board of directors had nominated Choi, head of sales and marketing, as a director.

The new CEO previously headed the planning office at Hyundai Motor, was chief executive of Hyundai Motor America and vice chairman of Hwatae Automobile Group, China. He has headed Ssangyong’s sales and marketing since January 2010.
