Veoneer and software joint venture Zenuity announced a deal to supply an active safety product based on their next generation Mono Vision and Radar System to an unnamed "Asia based automaker". This is the eighth customer for the in-house-developed vision system.
Veoneer said its scalable system has been developed to meet the Euro NCAP five star safety rating as well as providing driver assistance features such as highway assist, lane centring control, stop and go adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition and automated high beam control.

The supplier's camera centric system architecture is based on in-house computer vision algorithms complimented by radar based perception to cover the full spectrum required by Euro NCAP.
The camera uses Zenuity software, blending information from the camera and radar, for high reliability, safety and availability.
Innovative features, such as road surface profile and advanced path prediction, will be deployed to enhance user experience.
Deliveries to the new customer are scheduled from 2022.
