Over the weekend, the first Nissan pickup truck was completed at Renault’s plant at Sao Jose dos Pinhais.
Nissan says it plans to make 4,500 pickups at the plant this year, and Renault will make about 2,500 of its Master vans.
A Nissan factory began building the Renault Scenic in Mexico in 2000, coinciding with the company’s return to the market there. Clio production was added last year.
