Subaru has extended its production reduction in Japan to 19 June citing the global COVID-19 pandemic continuing to impact its supply chain and sales activities around the world.
The affected factories are its Main Plant and Yajima Plant (automobiles) plus the Oizumi Plant (engines and transmissions).

On 27 April said it planned to resume output a week ago, on 11 May.
As infection prevention measures such as stay-at-home orders around the world were impacting its supply chain and sales activities, production at the Gunma plants would be adjusted after the reopening with Gunma Manufacturing Plant operations to be reduced to a single shift from the originally-scheduled double shifts.
Oizumi Plant (engines and transmissions) would operate the first shift only.
