
Hamburg-based autonomous driving specialist, Ibeo Automotive Systems, has appointed Christophe Minster as new programme director for Ibeo’s NEXT-Sensor.
Minster will be responsible for the development and market launch of the new Ibeo NEXT 3D Solid State LiDAR.
“Christophe Minster brings a wealth of expertise in the field of driver assistance systems as well as in-depth and long-standing know-how in the automotive industry,” said Ibeo Automotive Systems CEO, Ulrich Lages.
“He will concentrate our development resources and build a globally-oriented market preparation and launch strategy for our Ibeo NEXT LiDAR sensors.
“Combined with the corresponding object recognition software, the new measurement technology in the Ibeo NEXT, which is based on pure semiconductors, will revolutionise LiDAR technology and is the next step towards an autonomous future.

Minster has more than 20 years of managerial experience in sales & marketing. He started his career at Siemens Automotive in Detroit, later moving to Valeo and TRW Automotive, where he was in charge of key accounts and later responsible for the global product portfolio.
He subsequently served as ZF Portfolio Director for driver assistance systems at ZF TRW in Paris.
Ibeo has around 300 employees at its locations in Hamburg and Eindhoven.
