Renault Samsung Motors said it plans to suspend operations at its only vehicle assembly plant in South Korea for four days in December due to weak demand.
The Renault subsidiary has had to cut back production this year due to a lack of exports.

Its global sales declined by 32% to 99,077 units in the first 10 months of 2020, with exports plunging by almost 76% to 18,158 units following the discontinuation of export orders for the Nissan Rogue SUV.
Domestic sales were up by 17% at 80,722 units in the same period.
A spokesperson said "until the company begins manufacturing the XM3 model for export to Europe, our daytime operations will be mostly focused on production for the domestic market".
Production at the assembly plant in the southern city of Busan will be halted on 11, 23, 24 and 31 December to help control inventory.
