Toyota plans to produce as many as 80,000 vehicles of a new passenger model at its Turkish plant next year, a company official told Reuters.

Annual production at the Toyota plant in the Turkish city of Adapazari would reach between 120,000 and 140,000 vehicles in 2004, the official who declined to be named told Reuters at the Frankfurt motor show.
Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Turkiye, produces some 60,000 vehicles of the popular Corolla model, mainly for export, Reuters said, adding that Toyota launched production at its Adapazari plant in 1994, but diverted nearly all if its output to exports last year – some 33,000 vehicles worth €325 million.
