Volkswagen South Africa has given two of its mainstream models appearance and specification boosts.

All three models in the Playa hatchback range have a new interior, including a new soft-feel dashboard which rakes downwards from the windscreen to create the impression of greater spaciousness for front seat occupants.

On the outside, the latest Playas are to have transparent front indicator lenses and chrome line side repeaters.

The lineup does not change, with the entry level 1.4i, the 1.6i and the flagship 1.8i.

The facelift for the Polo Classic, Volkswagen’s midrange saloon, also includes the all-new dashboard and powersteering continues to be a standard feature.

The revised Classics are also identified from the outside by their transparent front indicator lenses and chrome line side repeaters.
