The Newsquest report says that the decision follows a 12-month consultation process with the British motor industry by the organiser, Clarion Events Ltd.
The New London Motor Show was due to take place at Earls Court from June 19-29. Newsquest says the event was scheduled to include the London Motor Week and the first ever International Car Designer of the Year Awards.
The report says that the organisers ‘had to conclude that there was insufficient support from the industry to stage a credible event’.
Carsten Holm, Clarion show director told Newsquest: “Whilst it is possible that we could have staged an event with the current level of support, we are concerned that it would not have met our visitors’ expectations.”
