The Cupra brand – which came out of SEAT as a sub-brand and is now standalone – has released a teaser image of the interior of its first all-electric road vehicle.

The concept will be shown at the Frankfurt Show next month and Cupra says the 'car uses an interior language delivering a driver-focused cabin, but offering comfort for all occupants'.

The Cupra Concept's interior applies contrasting colours, structural carbon and dynamic approaches to technology and design to provide a high-end, lightweight cabin, Cupra says.

The brand says vehicles such as the Cupra Concept highlight the strides the brand is taking to internationalise its line-up, 'developing exclusive products that provide the perfect mix of performance, efficiency and adaptability in a demanding global market'.

Cupra has started building its new headquarters. Located next to the SEAT headquarters, the new multipurpose building will have motorsport at its core, featuring 2,400 sqm of open-plan space. The Cupra headquarters, whose design evokes a racing paddock, will be divided into two floors which will house the brand's operations centre of its sales, marketing, purchasing and finance departments. Located on a 10,500 sqm plot of land surrounded by nature, it will feature a large patio and a grand terrace for outdoor events, designed as a backdrop for presentations of future models.

While the brand is completing the launch of the Cupra Ateca, it has also presented a new concept car to showcase its shift towards electrification – the Cupra Formentor, a high-performance plug-in hybrid engine.
