Volkswagen Passenger Cars has appointed Dirk Große-Loheide as new board member for Procurement.
In his new function, Große-Loheide succeeds Stefan Sommer, who was previously in charge of the brand function in addition to his responsibilities as group board member for Components and Procurement.

Große-Loheide is a graduate economist and trained banker and has been with the Volkswagen Group for 28 years.
He has extensive industry knowledge and experience in the field of procurement. Having joined Volkswagen in 1990, he started his career in machinery procurement.
From 1995, he held various management posts, initially in general purchasing at Seat in Martorell and from 2000 at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, where he was named board member for Procurement and Production in 2007.
Große-Loheide was appointed board member for Procurement at Volkswagen de México in Puebla in 2011, becoming head of General Group Procurement in 2014, board member for Procurement at MAN Truck & Bus in 2017 and head of Group Operations Procurement in April 2019.
