Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA – news) has announced the appointment of Gabriel Lujan to Vice President, Lear Electronics and Electrical Division (LEED) – Mexican Operations, reporting to Lear President – Mexican Operations, Osvaldo de Falco, and LEED President, D. William Pumphrey.

In his new position, Lujan is responsible for LEED’s operations in Juarez and Chihuahua, Mexico, and in Honduras. He is based at the company’s Chihuahua offices.

Lujan joined Lear in 1999 as a Manufacturing Director, following Lear’s acquisition of United Technologies Automotive. He has 15 years of experience in the areas of automotive manufacturing and quality, and was a Professor at Instituto Technologico de Chihuahau, Mexico, prior to his work in the automotive industry.

Lujan earned a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Planning from Instituto de Durango, Mexico. He and his wife, Carolyn, reside in Chihuahua with their three children.
