Shiloh Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: SHLO), a leading manufacturer of engineered blanks, stamped components and modular systems for the automotive, heavy truck and other industries, has completed the purchase of substantially all of the assets of A.G. Simpson (Tennessee) Inc. for approximately $47.9 million.
The assets include a manufacturing plant in Dickson, Tennessee, which is near Nashville. Built in 1994 and aggregating some 242,000 square feet, the plant is a state-of-the-art stamping and assembly facility with 11 presses ranging from 200 to 2,000 tons. The facility has flexible robotic welding cells and assembly capabilities.

The plant employs approximately 350 and produces stampings, sub-assemblies and assemblies, principally for Nissan Motor Corporation, Johnson Controls, Inc., Visteon Corporation, Saturn Corporation, Continental Teves, Inc., ArvinMeritor Automotive, Inc., and Ford Motor Company.

Including the Dickson, Tennessee plant, Shiloh Industries operates 13 subsidiaries comprised of 17 operations in Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee and Mexico.
