Ford India on Wednesday launched the Ikon NXT series, the latest variant of its successful mid-size passenger car, according to the local website Navakal.com. The report said the petrol version, CLXI, is fitted with a 1.3 ROCAM engine while the ZXI 1.6 petrol version and ZXI 1.8 diesel version are the two other variants.

The report added that Ford planned to sell at least 22,000 units this year in India while export targets were yet to be set. Last year, domestic sales touched 15,000 units and exports were about 28,000 units, mainly to South Africa, Mexico and Brazil.
