Japan's JFE Steel Corporation launched production of a new galvanised steel plant in Bekasi, 30km east of the Indonesian capital city Jakarta.
This is the company's third manufacturing plant outside Japan, after Thailand and China.

The new facility is managed by JFE Galvanised Steel Indonesia and has the capacity to produce 400,000 galvanised steel sheets per year, targeted mainly at the local automotive industry.
