Mazda’s Japanese output rose 3.3% to 59,628 vehicles in August, compared to the same month a year ago, AP said, while sales in Japan expanded for the first time in two years to 20,577 vehicles in August, up 2.6% from the same month a year ago due to the popularity of the redesigned Demio (Mazda2).

However, Mazda exports fell 16.4% to 35,826 vehicles, AP added.
