Microsoft has appointed Lizabeth Chimenti to the newly created position of automotive industry manager.

“Liz will help to define the new position with her comprehensive understanding of the issues that the automotive industry faces along with her expertise in how technology can help to address those issues,” said Microsoft’s great lakes general manager Scott Carlton.
“She is very passionate about the auto industry, and the technology industry at large, and will be instrumental in bridging the gap between the industries.”
Chimenti, with over 20 years of business and industry experience in the automotive and management consulting sectors, will develop and implement Microsoft’s automotive/industrial equipment strategic initiatives.
Before joining Microsoft, Chimenti served as director of marketing communications, public relations and business analysis for Venture Industries, a Tier One plastics manufacturer and supplier.
