Japan’s sales of imported cars rose 6.3% on the year to 18,157 units in August, show preliminary figures released Wednesday by the Japan Automobile Importers’ Association.
The market is showing signs of a gradual recovery, with August marking the first time in two months that sales topped the year-earlier figures.
