Hella is establishing its new development centre in Sindelfingen, around 20km from Stugggart in Southern Germany.
The centre will complement existing capabilities at the Lippstadt headquarters and respond to growing demand for lighting solutions and the strong presence of the automotive industry in southern Germany. Inauguration is scheduled for February, next year.

During the initial expansion phase, the development centre will be operated with around 25 staff in Sindelfingen; numbers are due to increase to more than 100 during the coming years.
Hella produces headlamps, rear lamps, signal lights, interior lights and components for lighting electronics in its business division, Lighting.
In addition to its worldwide centre for lighting technology development at its headquarters in Lippstadt, Hella also operates additional development centres in China, India, the US, Mexico, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.
Consolidated sales in the division were more than EUR2.7bn (US$2.9bn) in fiscal year 2015/2016.
