Harman has unveiled a collaboration with Telechips, a South Korean fabless semiconductor manufacturer, to deliver an Ethernet AVB based in-vehicle networking solution.
“We are excited to team with Harman and bring a high-performance, in-vehicle networking solution to automakers,” said Telechips president and CEO, Jangkyu Lee.
“Our solution provides built-in Harman Ethernet AVB technology and is ideal for high-end multimedia devices. It is a proven and powerful solution for the connected car.”
For his part, Harman SVP Connected Services, Dean Miles, added: "Automakers are looking for efficient and high-bandwidth networks to ensure the quality consumers expect in high-end, automotive environments.
"We are pleased to partner with Telechips and bring the next generation of automotive infotainment Systems-on-Chip (SoC) to the automotive market."
