Asahi Glass Company (AGC) has launched UV Verre Premium Privashield, a new automotive glass for rear doors and back windows, which it maintains cuts around 99% of ultraviolet (UV) rays and also protects from infrared (IR) rays.
AGC released the world’s first around 99% UV-cut glass for front door windows, UV Verre Premium, in 2010, followed by UV Verre Premium Cool in 2012, equipped with additional function to reduce the burning sensation of the skin caused by IR rays.
