Kongsberg Automotive (KA) has said it is the supplier of the “crystal shifter system” to Volvo Cars for its latest concept car (Concept Estate) recently on display at the Geneva International Motor Show.

The shifter utilizes Kongsberg’s technology and expertise in Shift by wire systems and features a crystal knob supplied by Orrefors, a name famous for high end Scandinavian glass and crystal design.

Kongsberg says the design demonstrates Volvo’s strategic intent going forward and Kongsberg is “delighted to be a partner for this stunning concept car”.
