UK automotive workers union Amicus says that it has accepted a revised offer from Peugeot following a ballot of both its own and TGWU union members.

The ballot result was 1,678 votes in favour to 887 votes against, a majority of 2 to 1.
Amicus national secretary Duncan Simpson, said: “Whilst the final settlement falls below the original aspiration of our members, it’s good that the dispute is over.
“We now need to put these acrimonious discussions behind us and concentrate on working with Peugeot to secure long term prosperity and employment for both the company and our members.”
The dispute involving workers at PSA’s 206 plant outside Coventry had centred on the amount of a pay rise over a number of years and a company attempt to increase the amount the workers contributed to their pension plans.
