Assembly volume of 10,000 Foresters a year is planned alongside raised output of the Subaru XV, which is currently being assembled at the plant.

The plant’s total assembly capacity will be raised to 20,000 units, and the vehicles built there will be shipped to markets as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines (which makes sense under ASEAN free trade arrangements).
