Grupo Antolin has opened its US$18m Kansas City plant.
The plant will initially produce headliners for the new Ford Transit assembled at Ford’s plant in Claycomo.

In 2015, operations will be expanded to supply GM’s Fairfax plant, also in Kansas City.
The site will employ 120 people to start with additional contracts taking the number to 250.
Rafael Tomas, Grupo Antolin spokesman said: “We have started with the production for one car for Ford; that will be two by the end of the year. At the end of next year, we will work also with GM, so all the headliners produced in Kansas City will be ours.”
