To gain a better foothold in the Indian market, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is reportedly considering introducing a mid-sized sedan.
According to Zigwheels.com, it plans to develop a new model for India and similar markets using the Etios platform to cut cost. The model would look similar to the Corolla Altis sedan.
The new Toyota sedan would come with the choice of existing 1.4-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engines and be priced between INR700,000 (US$11,645) and INR1.1m.
