US: Ford to recall some models over fuel tank issue
Ford in the US is recalling some 2013 Explorers, as well as some 2012 Taurus and Lincoln MKS models, because of concerns that leaks in the fuel tank may pose a fire risk.
Ford in the US is recalling some 2013 Explorers, as well as some 2012 Taurus and Lincoln MKS models, because of concerns that leaks in the fuel tank may pose a fire risk.
Only around 3,037 cars and SUVs are involved, manufactured between 19 July, 2011 and 15 March, 2012. All were made at the company’s Chicago plant.
Ford will notify owners by letter later this month instructing them to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the fuel tank inspected. No accidents, injuries or fires have been reported.
