The Dongfeng Yueda Kia joint venture is said to be on the verge of announcing ‘Huaqi’ (Horki) as the name selected for its forthcoming new Chinese market brand.
A report carried by autos.cn.yahoo.com attibutes the claim to a new registration on the website of China’s State Administration for Industry and Commerce’s Trademark Office.

There are in fact contrasting reports on the DYK joint venture’s plans for its future new brand(s). Some claim that ‘Dianyue’ is the name of a new low-cost division to come, while others believe this will be yet another brand to be run alongside Huaqi.
More information regarding DYK’s new brand or brands, including its logo and marketing strategy, is scheduled to be revealed at the Shanghai motor show.
